KRISTINA RIEGLE VOICE STUDIO POLICY
Welcome to the Kristina Riegle Voice Studio! Please read through the entire studio policy document before submitting inquiries. I am happy to address any questions or concerns regarding my policies.
Scheduling & Payments
I have reserved a spot for each student in my weekly schedule. This time is blocked off for you and no one else, ensuring that you have consistent lessons for consistent learning and improvement! Students sign up for a weekly lesson time and pay monthly via the Venmo app (@Kristina-Riegle). You will receive an invoice for the next month’s lessons via email 1-2 weeks before the new month. Payment is due at or before the first lesson of the month. A fee of $20 will be assessed for late payments.
If you are running late or need to cancel on the day of your lesson (last minute), please text me at (843) 437.7251. If you need to cancel with more than 24 hours notice, please email email@example.com, and you will be granted a Make-up Lesson credit.
Make-up lesson credits are only given for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice, or for circumstances approved by Kristina Riegle. Make-up credits cannot be used during your regularly scheduled lesson time, and will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time for both student and teacher. I understand that illness and special circumstances arise - please be in communication with me as soon as possible and we can address these on a case-by-case basis.
If the instructor needs to cancel a lesson, you will be emailed or called with advanced notice, and the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed-upon time. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund of the lesson price will be issued.
If you choose to stop taking lessons, please let me know with at least two weeks notice. Should you choose to stop taking lessons mid-month, the remaining tuition will not be refunded. Your lesson time cannot be held if you are not enrolled, but if you need to drop lessons for a period of time and come back, you can choose from the available times when you return.
Preparing for your online lesson
Students need to have a computer/tablet/smartphone on which to have their lesson. The location you choose for your lessons should: be well lit with light facing you; be quiet of background noise; have a strong internet/cellular connection; have access to either Zoom or FaceTime; have an audio playback device to play recorded tracks; print the music provided; and have a pencil. Having a water bottle is advised - keeping hydrated is great for singing! If the student has access to a recording device, such as a smartphone, please bring it and record your lessons. Practice expectations will be discussed with each student individually, based on age, goals, etc.
Parents are encouraged to attend the first lesson or two if the student is very young. Having a familiar presence can be helpful for the student getting used to being in a new environment and learning in a new way. However, as we progress, students usually perform better without a parent present in the room.
Thank you for reading through these studio policies. I look forward to hearing what your vocal needs are, and how I may help you achieve those goals.
